Site Evaluation & Grading
We assess soil conditions and grade the site so water sheds away from structures instead of pooling on the new surface.
Excavation & Sub-Base Prep
Old material — gravel, failed asphalt, vegetation — is removed and a compacted aggregate base course is built. This is the single biggest factor in how long the asphalt above it will last.
Tack Coat
A bonding layer is applied between the base and asphalt (and between lifts on thicker installs) so the surface bonds properly instead of shifting or delaminating.
Asphalt Paving
Hot-mix asphalt is laid at the correct temperature and thickness for the application — thinner for a residential driveway, thicker for a parking lot or road built for heavier, more frequent traffic.
Compaction
Fresh asphalt is rolled to the correct density. Under-compacted asphalt is one of the most common causes of early rutting and cracking.
Curing & Striping
The asphalt cures before heavy use, then we stripe and mark the surface as needed for driveways, parking lots, and ADA-compliant spaces.
